How home collection works
The point of home collection is convenience without a drop in standards. Every identification and tracking step that protects a walk-in sample also protects yours.
- 1
Call the appointment line, or ask at the front desk, and tell us which tests have been requested.
- 2
We confirm a time slot, the preparation needed, and whether fasting is required.
- 3
A phlebotomist arrives, verifies your identity, and barcodes the sample in front of you.
- 4
The sample travels to the laboratory under the same tracked chain of custody as a walk-in.
- 5
Your report is released to you — or to your treating doctor — once it has been verified.

Practical help
What the front desk can sort out for you
- Tell you the fasting and preparation rules before you travel
- Book a home visit for a patient who cannot easily come in
- Arrange ambulance transport where it is needed
- Explain what a scan involves and how long it will take
- Retrieve a previous report or study for comparison
- Release a report to an authorised representative on your behalf
